The author of The Red Pyramid, Rick Riordan was raised in Texas. In Texas, he graduated from two schools: Alamo Heights High School in 1982, and the University of Texas, which is located in Austin. There, he double-majored in English and History. After he graduated, he taught middle school English, History, and Greek Mythology in the San Francisco Bay Area. In his life, Riordan has written many successful book series, including Percy Jackson and the Olympians, The Kane Chronicles, The Maze of Bones, and The 39 Clues.
