Brief Book Summary

The Red Pyramid, by Rick Riordan, is a book about Egyptian Mythology. It explains the adventures of a 14-year-old boy named Carter Kane, and his 12-year-old sister, Sadie Kane. Carter and his father traveled a lot, especially Egypt, since his dad is an Egyptologist. Carter and Sadie both work together to solve mysteries about things that have disappeared from them. They both try to make things right. During the book, they learn that they are descendants of two Egyptian Pharaohs, named Narmer, and Ramesses the Great. The brother, Carter, is always with his sister. However, Sadie calls Carter annoying, all throughout the book. But, even though Sadie thinks that Carter is annoying, she does love to work with him when it comes to problems and events like saving the world. Also, Carter's ability to make magic happen is supported by his sister, because whenever Carter is with Sadie, his magic grows in strength as does Sadie's.
